The Brewers are champions. The MVP isn't on the Cosmic Chrome checklist, but the guy who started the clincher is the whole spot
Brewers beat the Rays 4-1 for their first World Series title. In Cosmic Chrome, Misiorowski is on 7 of Milwaukee's 9 board hits; MVP William Contreras isn't.
Lead
Jacob Misiorowski stood in left field on Wednesday night his cleats speckled with blue, yellow and silver confetti, and tried to explain it. "I'm just so overjoyed," he said, per MLB.com. Earlier he had held the Rays to two hits, a walk and a hit batter over 5 2/3 scoreless innings, averaging 101.1 mph with his fastball on 86 pitches, until a right calf cramp forced him out in the sixth.
"I'm happy I left it all out on the field," he said. "I obviously wish I could have gotten one more out, but it is what it is. We got the win."
The Brewers beat the Rays 4-1 and took the Series 4 games to 1. In their 57th season in Milwaukee, it's the first World Series title in franchise history, won with 11 postseason wins against two losses, per MLB.com. Misiorowski got the win and finished the postseason 2-0 with a 1.89 ERA in four postseason starts.
If you claim Milwaukee in Chrome Spot Lab's 2026 Topps Cosmic Chrome Baseball break, you're claiming the champions' Game 5 starter and Jackson Chourio. That's the whole spot. The World Series MVP isn't in it.
Why the Milwaukee spot
On Oct. 16 we called this the Misiorowski spot. On Oct. 27 Jackson Chourio showed up as the other half. The clincher played out the same way the board reads: Milwaukee has 9 board hits, Misiorowski is on 7 of them, including all three Brewers case hits, and Chourio has the other 2.
The MVP is the twist. William Contreras went 8-for-21 with four RBIs, including the sixth-inning double that scored Christian Yelich in Game 5, and threw out four of nine would-be base-stealers, per MLB.com. "I don't have words to say how I'm feeling," he said through an interpreter. He has no card on Topps' Cosmic Chrome checklist. The only Contreras in the set is his older brother Willson, base #165, listed with the Boston Red Sox, not a hit and not part of the Brewers spot. William talked about him after the trophy: "My brother is my role model. I don't have a lot of friends. He's my friend. I love him."
So the depth that won this Series mostly isn't on the hit board. Yelich and Brice Turang are base only. Cooper Pratt, who added a sac fly in Game 5, isn't on the Cosmic Chrome checklist at all.
That makes the spot thin and concentrated. It's good if you want an ace-first chase where two names carry everything. It's the wrong spot if you want the champions' depth: on the same board the Dodgers have 34 board hits and the Rays 7.

More from the clincher
"He was focused beyond belief. He knew the responsibility," manager Pat Murphy said of Misiorowski, per MLB.com. JoJo Romero relieved him to finish the sixth.
Behind the plate Contreras also had 10 of his 13 ABS challenges overturned in the Series, per MLB.com. With Milwaukee's title, four franchises remain without one: the Mariners, Padres, Rays and Rockies.
"I think any time you win a World Series, it changes a place a little bit," Yelich said.
