CeeDee’s 17-catch day in Houston is the case for the Cowboys spot in CSL’s 2026 Topps Flagship Football
After a career-high 17 catches won it in Houston, do you want to feel the Cowboys spot?
CeeDee’s 17-catch day in Houston
CeeDee Lamb just caught a career-high 17 passes for 189 yards on 21 targets, and the last one won the game: a 12-yard touchdown from Dak Prescott with 40 seconds left. If you play Chrome Spot Lab’s football break, that’s the day that makes the Dallas Cowboys spot the one you’d want to claim.
Dallas trailed Houston 16–6 at half, then scored touchdowns on four of its five second-half possessions and won 34–30 at Reliant Stadium. Javonte Williams ran in a career-high three touchdowns, all after the break. Prescott went 32-of-45 for 335 yards with a TD and no interceptions. The Cowboys are 2–2 and host Tampa Bay on Thursday night.
“I grew up here, you know what I’m saying?” Lamb said afterward. His grandmother, who doesn’t come to many of his games, was in the building.
That’s the decision: with a short week and a Thursday night home game next, do you want the Cowboys on your board?
Why the Cowboys spot
On CSL’s 2026 Topps Flagship Football Hobby break, you claim NFL team spots and run a modeled paper rip. The Cowboys spot puts you on Lamb, Prescott, Javonte Williams and George Pickens when the break runs.
Lamb’s chase is thin and clear: base and Golden Mirror only. There’s no auto and no relic for him in this rip, so the Lamb pull you’re hunting is a Golden Mirror. The ink on this spot lives elsewhere: vet-autos for Prescott, Javonte Williams and Pickens, plus Brandon Aubrey and Quinnen Williams. The rookie is Caleb Downs, with a base card and a Flagship First.
Prescott’s side of the spot already has its own post: Dak passing Romo for the franchise TD-pass record. This one is Lamb’s. You’re picking the club you’d want to root for after that Sunday.
Proof under the feel (checklist footprint)
Card numbers below come straight from the official checklist lines in CSL’s Flagship Football spine:
Supporting color on the same spot: Brandon Aubrey (#52) and Quinnen Williams (#56) each carry base, GM and vet-auto; rookie Caleb Downs (#363 base/GM, plus Flagship First FFS-CDS); Jake Ferguson (#55 base/GM); Rashan Gary (#224 base/GM); NFL Material relics NFLM-DE (Donovan Ezeiruaku) and NFLM-JB (Jaydon Blue). No dollar comps: published values for this set are still YELLOW / unpublished floor lanes, so read this as chase energy only, not a solds forecast.
Context under the feel
This summer, part of the conversation around Lamb was whether he’d still be at the top of his game in 2026. Through four games he has four touchdowns, after three in all of 2025, and NFL.com says his receiving yards are the most through the first four games of a season in Cowboys history — nearly 500. He missed three games last year with a high ankle sprain and credits his health for the fast start. Sunday also moved him past Drew Pearson into fourth on the Cowboys’ all-time receiving list at 7,914 yards, behind Jason Witten, Michael Irvin and Tony Hill. He bought 18 tickets for friends and family, the most he’s ever requested. On climbing that list: “I’m looking forward to breaking more records.”
The winner: Woody Marks’ 6-yard run put Houston back in front with 2:23 left. Prescott answered with an 11-play, 74-yard drive, kept alive by Jake Ferguson’s 7-yard catch on fourth-and-4; Pickens’ 22-yard grab got it to the Houston 12. On second-and-10, the Texans left Lamb in single coverage against Jalen Pitre. Greg Olsen on the Fox call, per NFL.com: “He has (17) catches. Double him.” Prescott afterward: “That’s a testament to me not even realizing he had 17 catches. I’m the one throwing it. How do I not realize that?” Brian Schottenheimer: “CeeDee played the way he always plays: dynamite.”
Williams scored from 8, 1 and 2 yards; the 2-yarder gave Dallas its first lead, 27–23, with 11:17 left. Lamb’s 30-yard catch set up the first one. Pickens had no catches in the first half, then two for 75 after it, including a 53-yarder. On defense, Quinnen Williams and Rashan Gary each had a sack, and NFL.com called it Gary’s best game of the season. Prescott had a bandage on his throwing hand after the game and said there was no significant issue. Houston’s side, one line: C.J. Stroud threw for 347 and two TDs, and Nico Collins caught 7 for 118 and two scores in his return from a hamstring injury; the Texans are 0–4.
The claim stays Lamb (+ Prescott, Javonte Williams, Pickens) → Cowboys lane.
